We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Executive to manage inbound shipments, import documentation, and landed cost calculations for our imported goods.

Position Overview

The Logistics Executive will be responsible for coordinating import shipments, managing customs clearance, preparing accurate landed cost calculations, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian import regulations. This role works closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and cost-effective logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

Import & Shipment Coordination

  • Monitor and track all inbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers on shipment schedules and status updates.
  • Arrange shipment bookings and schedules in compliance with Malaysian import regulations.

Customs & Documentation

  • Handle all import documentation including invoices, packing lists, shipping documents, and certificates.
  • Manage customs clearance procedures and resolve documentation or compliance issues with appointed agents.
  • Ensure full compliance with Malaysian customs regulations, HS codes, duties, SST, and import guidelines.

Landed Cost & Cost Control

  • Prepare accurate landed cost calculations including freight, insurance, duties, SST, import tax, and other government charges.
  • Maintain records of duty payments, tax documentation, and logistics costs for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving logistics efficiency.

Inventory & Internal Coordination

  • Maintain accurate shipment tracking and logistics records.
  • Monitor stock levels and provide monthly average sales insights to support forecasting and duty clearance planning.
  • Communicate closely with suppliers, warehouse, finance, and sales teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in logistics or import/export operations is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian customs procedures, HS codes, duties, and taxes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for landed cost and logistics calculations.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
