About the role

This is a full-time role based in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. As the Assistant Procurement Manager at ROYALE CHULAN SEREMBAN', you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth procurement operations in maintaining quality standards, controlling costs, and supporting the hotel's operational requirements to achieve overall business objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Sourcing and purchasing in all procurement activities including planning, sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier contracts
  2. Monitor and maintain vendor/supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  3. Participate in the development of procurement strategies and policies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  4. Analyse procurement data and provide recommendations to optimise purchasing processes
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address procurement challenges
  6. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures and relevant regulations
  7. Provide training and guidance to procurement team members as needed

What we're looking for

  1. 3-5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  2. Strong negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  4. Proficient in data analysis and reporting to drive procurement improvements
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Well known in IDB system
