The Senior Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving learning and development programs that enhance employee capability, performance, and organizational effectiveness. This role plays a key part in supporting talent development by ensuring employees are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and experiences required to succeed in a dynamic, global environment.
Working closely with business leaders, HR partners, and subject matter experts, the Senior L&D Specialist translates business priorities into impactful learning solutions. The role combines strategic thinking with strong execution, managing end-to-end program delivery while fostering a culture of continuous learning and capability building across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Design & Delivery: Design, deliver, and continuously enhance learning and development programs aligned to business needs and target audiences across multiple levels. Create engaging, inclusive learning experiences that encourage knowledge application and sustained behavior change.
- Strategic Partnership: Work collaboratively with HRBP, senior leaders, and key stakeholders to assess capability gaps and define critical skills required to support business objectives. Support talent and performance initiatives by aligning learning programs with broader talent strategies.
- Program Management: Manage end-to-end program execution, including scheduling, vendor coordination, participant communications, and learning logistics. Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure high-quality and efficient delivery.
- Evaluation & Reporting: Evaluate program effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative measures, incorporating feedback and data insights to drive continuous improvement. Track and report learning outcomes, program effectiveness, and adoption metrics to key stakeholders.
- Compliance & Policy Administration: Prepare and maintain accurate data and documentation for internal and external audits related to Learning & Development activities. Administer and update L&D policies, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current on learning trends, methodologies, and technologies, introducing innovative and scalable learning solutions.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as required or assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with a proven track record of delivering programs that positively impact employee performance and organizational outcomes.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed environment is preferred.
- Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel proficiency (e.g., pivot tables, formulas).
- Experience developing dashboards or data visualizations (PowerBI preferred).
- Familiarity with Workday Talent, Performance, and Talent Optimization modules.
- Interest and growing proficiency in Gen AI tools and learning applications preferred.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to translate data into compelling stories and business cases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to large, global audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
