Responsibilities
Human Resources Leadership
- Oversee and manage the full HR lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention.
- Serve as a strategic partner to management, providing advice on HR matters, organization design, and workforce planning.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with company values and local regulations.
Talent Acquisition & Development
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical, engineering, project management, and business roles.
- Build a robust talent pipeline by leveraging partnerships, job portals, referrals, and campus programs.
- Oversee onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
- Plan and execute training, competency development, and career progression frameworks.
Performance Management
- Manage performance appraisal processes, KPIs, and development reviews.
- Coach managers on feedback delivery, performance improvement, and employee development.
- Ensure alignment between organizational goals and individual performance outcomes.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee payroll coordination, leave management, benefits administration, and HR record-keeping.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal governance.
- Manage employee contracts, renewals, expatriate documentation (if applicable), and policy updates.
- Handle employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations professionally.
Culture & Employee Engagement
- Drive employee engagement activities, company events, and recognition programs.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
- Support internal communication initiatives and encourage cross-department collaboration.
Organizational Support
- Partner with leadership on organizational development, succession planning, and resource allocation.
- Support change management initiatives related to company growth, process improvements, and digital transformation.
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and insights for management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws, HR best practices, and HR operational processes.
- Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Experience working in engineering, industrial automation, or technology companies is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in scaling HR processes for fast-growing companies.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or local HRMS).
- Experience in training, coaching, or organizational development.
- Knowledge of cross-border HR practices in the ASEAN region is a plus.
