About the role

Ohta Precision (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Account & Finance Senior Executive / Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team in Kajang, Selangor. This full-time position will play a crucial role in managing the company's accounting, budgeting, and financial operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, including monthly management accounts, cash flow statements, and budget variances
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and monitor financial performance against budgets
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide support during audits
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Provide financial advice and support to other departments within the organisation
  • Mentor and train junior members of the finance team

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
