Mechanical Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily site activities related to plumbing and sanitary systems installation.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and other disciplines (civil, electrical, etc.) to resolve site issues.
  • Inspect and ensure proper installation of hot & cold water supply, drainage, sewerage, water tank, underground pipe, sum pump, booster pump and rainwater systems.
  • Verify materials and fittings received on site comply with approved specifications.
  • Conduct pressure tests, leakage tests, and system commissioning.
  • Prepare and maintain daily site reports, QA/QC documents, and test reports.
  • Ensure all works are executed according to safety and environmental standards.
  • Manage plumbing subcontractors, manpower, and work progress.
  • Assist in preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and final handover documentation.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of site experience in plumbing and sanitary systems (construction, MEP, or building projects).
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, materials, and fittings.
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings (AutoCAD knowledge preferred).
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with project coordination, documentation, and safety procedures.
  • Able to work independently under minimal supervision.

  • Added Advantage:

  • Experience in high-rise / commercial / hospital / factory projects.

  • Familiar with local authority submission and inspection (IWK, SPAN, etc.).
