About the role

As a Social Media Manager cum Photographer & Videographer at THE HOOTON RETREAT SDN. BHD., you will play a crucial role in crafting and executing the company's social media strategy. This full-time position is based in Klang, Selangor, and involves creating engaging visual content, managing online communities, and driving brand awareness through strategic social media initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to promote THE HOOTON RETREAT SDN. BHD.'s brand, products, and services
  2. Create visually appealing and on-brand content, including photographs, videos, and graphics, for the company's social media platforms
  3. Manage and grow the company's social media channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, XHS,You Tube and LinkedIn, by regularly updating content, engaging with followers, and responding to inquiries
  4. Monitor and analyse social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve the company's online presence and engagement
  5. Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate social media initiatives with other marketing and advertising campaigns
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, best practices, and platform updates to ensure the company's strategies remain effective and innovative

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement
  3. Strong skills in photography, videography, and video editing, with a portfolio demonstrating your work
  4. Proficient in using social media management tools, analytics platforms, and design software
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and on-brand content
  6. Creative and analytical mindset, with the ability to think strategically and problem-solve
  7. Familiarity with the latest social media trends and best practices within the marketing and communications industry
