Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent are required.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior financial leadership role in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian banking regulations, financial risk management, and capital markets.
  • Proven experience managing financial operations within a regulated environment.
  • Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience presenting to the Board and regulatory bodies.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving banking landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, capital management, and tax.
  • Lead the development and execution of the bank's financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
  • Ensure full compliance with Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM), Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations, IFRS/MFRS standards, and other financial authorities.
  • Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board, regulators, and auditors.
  • Monitor financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and identify areas for financial efficiency and cost optimization.
  • Play a leading role in strategic planning, including mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and investment strategies.
  • Oversee asset-liability management (ALM), liquidity risk, and capital adequacy.
  • Collaborate with senior management in business growth planning and risk management.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, building a high-performance, compliance-driven culture.
