Job Description

  • Review, draft, negotiate and close commercial contracts, including master services agreements, licenses, copyright, intellectual property matters, corporate, compliance and other legal issues covering the company business line.
  • Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that the company interest are protected.
  • Manage and resolve legal issues in contact, litigation/arbitration for the company, and dispute resolution.
  • Able to rapidly identify the legal implication of business strategies and render professional legal expertise/advise in the interpretation of laws relating to business matters.
  • To assist in the operation of the business of company (including its subsidiaries and affiliates). This include applications for licenses and other legal requirements by Bank Negara, MdeC, MCMC, SMECORP, MITI, MIDA, MATRADE, etc.
  • To manage dispute and claim management process including liaising with supervising external legal adviser.
  • Carry out in depth legal analysis of the issues raised by cases, and ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken.
  • Custodian of all legal documents. Represent the company in any negotiation in connection of litigation, agreement, contract, etc with legal firms and other external parties.
  • To advise any legal issues sought by various division, departments and units.
  • To assist in company compliance programme relating to internal and external compliance.
  • Actively participate in the development of processes, policies and procedures relevant to the Legal, Secretarial & Compliance department.
  • To maintain proper record of all legal matters and administers the inventory of legal agreements.
  • Able to engage in and conclude contract negotiation or dispute, applying a deep understanding of the legal and business implications.
  • Any other function duties as and when required.

Job Requirement.

  • Holder of law degree from a recognized university.
  • 1 - 2 year(s) post qualification experience practice either as an advocate and solicitor or in house lawyer.
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
  • Good knowledge of commercial and company law.
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong command of the Malay and English languages, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Strong research skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3, RM4,000.00 per month
