About the role

U.S.R. SDN. BHD. is seeking a highly motivated Executive/Senior Executive for our Purchasing Division to join our team in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, goods, and services required to support our manufacturing and logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to meet the company's purchasing requirements.
  • Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation.
  • Monitoring and managing inventory levels to maintain efficient stock control.
  • Liaising with the internal sales team to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
  • Analysing purchasing data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company's purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Mentor and train junior members of the Purchasing team to enhance their skills and knowledge.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably have experience in the plastics industries.
  • Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers from Taiwan and China.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills, with a proven track record of building strong relationships with vendors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in the use of procurement software and other relevant technology tools.
  • Good understanding of supply chain management and inventory control best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
