Location: Shah Alam

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of air and ocean import and export shipments, including booking cargo space, arranging pickup and delivery, and managing transportation schedules to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation for air and ocean import and export shipments, including bills of lading, airway bills, shipping manifests, customs declarations, certificates of origin etc.
  • Liaise with customs authorities and agents to ensure smooth clearance of shipments.
  • Communicate and update proactively on shipment status for air and ocean export and import to customers. Addressing inquiries and concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with vendor/ supplier on cargo transportation and resolve any operational issues or delays which might affect shipments. Ensure vendors/ suppliers are providing quality and stable services.
  • Stay abreast of import and export regulations, trade agreements, and compliance requirements for both air and ocean. Identify and highlight potential risks and compliance issues, to mitigate these risks while ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
  • Negotiate with vendors/ suppliers for a better rate. Monitor and control transportation costs, including freight rates, surcharges, and other expenses, to optimize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management from time to time.

Requirements and skills:

  • Possess at least a Diploma in Supply Chain /Logistics / Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding or similar industry.
  • Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work independently and in a group, result-oriented, and highly motivated.
  • A fast learner, pro-active, self-driven, and self-motivated person.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed, organized, and good time management.
  • Language Proficiency: English, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
