Based at the The Sirēya Desaru Coast within the Sales & Marketing department in Desaru Coast, Johor, the Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for developing, executing, and managing the hotel's annual marketing and communications strategy, ensuring integrated campaigns across all channels to support revenue goals in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Director of Marketing & Communications reports to the General Manager.

As a Director of Marketing & Communications, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Lead the hotel's brand identity, advertising, collateral, and promotional materials while ensuring compliance with MOHG guidelines.
  • Develop and execute annual marketing, PR, and communications plans in partnership with corporate teams, positioning the hotel as a top destination.
  • Manage media relations, press office activities, crisis communications, and act as the hotel's spokesperson and brand ambassador.
  • Oversee social media, digital marketing, direct marketing campaigns, partnerships, events, and content creation to engage global and local audiences.
  • Coordinate photography, videography, website updates, and digital campaigns to strengthen the hotel's online presence and drive direct bookings.
  • Prepare, forecast, and control budgets for all marketing and communications activities to align with business objectives.

As a Director of Marketing & Communications, we expect from you:

  • At least 5 years' experience in luxury hospitality, retail, agency, or marketing, ideally in a 5-star hotel.
  • Hotel pre-opening / re-branding experience are strong advantages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English; Mandarin knowledge is an asset.
  • Strong ability to plan, follow up, and deliver tasks efficiently.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
