About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Buyer to join our dynamic team at MST Golf Sdn Bhd. As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our ongoing success, responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality merchandise that aligns with our brand and customer preferences. This full-time position is based in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

What you'll be doing

  1. Researching market trends and consumer demands to identify new product opportunities
  2. Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best prices, terms, and delivery schedules
  3. Monitoring inventory levels and forecasting future needs to ensure optimal stock levels
  4. Collaborating with the merchandising and marketing teams to develop effective product assortments
  5. Maintaining detailed records and reports on purchasing activities and budgets
  6. Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices
  7. Providing support and guidance to other members of the buying and merchandising teams

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in a buyer or merchandising role, preferably within the retail or consumer products industry
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  3. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  4. A keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  5. A passion for the retail industry and a deep understanding of consumer trends and preferences
  6. Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for inventory management, data analysis, and reporting
