About the role

As a Warehouse Operation - Senior Executive/Assistant Manager at Silver Maxlink Sdn Bhd, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse in Simpang Ampat, Penang. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities, from inventory management to logistics coordination, to support the growth and success of our retail and consumer products business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and delivery of goods.
  2. Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize workflow and productivity.
  3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, identifying any discrepancies, or issues.
  4. Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and full inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
  5. Coordinate and prioritize daily work activities, including order picking packing and delivery to outlet according to schedule.
  6. Collaborate with the logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely and reliable deliveries to our retail stores.
  7. Analyse data and generate reports to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
  8. To ensure proper working condition of work areas, grounds, forklift, tools, fixtures, and equipment, arrange for repairs/replacement as needed.
  9. Supervise and coordinate the warehouse team, providing training, support, and performance feedback.
  10. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics management role, preferably in the retail or consumer products industry.
  2. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  3. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  4. Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS), strong planning, inventory control and data analysis capabilities to drive operational efficiency.
  5. Ability to multitask, priorities, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  7. Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management or a related field is an advantage
