About the role

Join Lianson Fleet Group Berhad' as a Crew Executive, a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the Oil & Gas operations of the company, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out competitive sourcing of consumables, hardware, engine spares, equipment, etc. for company's fleet of offshore supply vessel.
  • Coordinate procurement activities which include supplier selection, bidding evaluation, Purchase Order (PO) approval and issuance, Request for Quotation (RFQ) and deliveries.
  • Prepare documentations for commercial bids and evaluation.
  • Negotiate with vendors for the best value-for-money purchase.
  • Assist the Manager with quotes for requirements on purchase requisitions.
  • Prepare and raise Purchase Orders.
  • Expedite the goods purchased to the end user.
  • To ensure all goods and services delivered are in compliant with the end users' requirements and compliance.
  • Assist the "invoicer" on the payment process.
  • Assess and monitor vendors' performance in terms of service provided and value for money.
  • Respond to suppliers' correspondences appropriately and timely.
  • Update on the progress of our Approved Supplier Database.
  • Liaise with Vendors on purchasing matters and maintain good relationship with vendors.
  • Develop procurement strategies and procurement planning for the Long Lead Items.
  • Work towards improvement on supplier's delivery, cost quality and payment terms.
  • Assist HOD to prepare monthly expenses, reduce expenses through effective sourcing and participate in activities towards strategic procurement.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Survey, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • 1 - 2 years relevant working experience in a similar capacity preferably in Material / Inventory / Warehouse Management and Purchasing
  • Have good PC knowledge and Microsoft programs i.e. Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and tight deadlines.
