Job Summary
The role is responsible for driving business growth through the identification and development of new opportunities, partnerships, and strategic initiatives. This position plays a key role in strengthening the company's market presence by collaborating across departments to execute business strategies, manage client relationships, and deliver impactful marketing and engagement activities. The incumbent will work closely with internal teams to align business objectives with market trends, ensure smooth project execution, and support overall business expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Opportunity Development
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the company's strategic goals.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and relationship building.
- Develop business cases and proposals for new initiatives, partnerships, or commercial ventures.
2. Strategic Partnership
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments (Sales, Project Management, Marketing, Legal).
- Collaborate with land sales, business development, and marketing teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for industrial or township land sales.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, legal, operations, transformation) to ensure seamless execution of land sales processes to formalize agreements.
- Develop and manage relationships with potential business partners and clients.
3. Marketing Collaboration & Customer Experience
- Work with business development/marketing teams across pillars to plan and execute demand generation campaigns.
- Define ideal customer profiles and help generate qualified leads through targeted outreach.
- Map and optimize the end-to-end customer journey to improve satisfaction and retention.
4. Events, Exhibitions & Roadshows
- Plan, organize, and execute corporate events, B2B exhibitions, and customer roadshows to support brand building and business development.
- Identify strategic locations, partners, and audiences for regional or industry-specific roadshows.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, logistics, legal) and external vendors.
5. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Track business development activities and report progress to management, highlighting opportunities, risks, and key performance metrics.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance business strategies and market positioning.
6. Ad Hoc Responsibilities
- Undertake additional tasks or projects as assigned by management to support overall business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field. Master's preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 4 years in a real estate-focused or property development company.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related commercial roles.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving customer-centric initiatives.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in supporting senior leadership with strategy execution, reporting, and team coordination.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
