Research & Development Executive

Minimum Qualification : Masters / PHD preferably in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or Medicinal Chemistry.

Years of Experience       : Minimum 0-3 years of working experience in the related fields

Skills : Possess strong laboratory and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report data accurately, utilize Microsoft Office and relevant R&D tools effectively, communicate and collaborate well in a team, and demonstrate keen attention to detail and problem-solving capability.

Location : Semenyih, Malaysia

Company : Nexus Wise Sdn Bhd (Hi-Tech 7)

Working Hour : Monday to Friday (9.00am - 6.00pm)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Utilize laboratory materials, equipment, and consumables efficiently for all assigned research and development projects.
2. Plan, design, and execute experimental work in accordance with approved project scopes, objectives, and timelines.
3. Conduct research, formulation, and process development for nutraceutical and functional ingredient products.
4. Collect, interpret, and report experimental data accurately, ensuring high-quality documentation and traceability.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, QA/QC, Marketing, Regulatory) to support product development and scale-up activities.
6. Ensure all laboratory operations comply with company SOPs, GMP, and safety regulations.
7. Maintain strict confidentiality of all R&D data, formulations, and intellectual property.
8. Stay informed on scientific advancements and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Others / Ad-hoc Tasks

• Carry out other related duties or assignments as directed by the superior, relevant to the current job scope.
• Support process improvement, system enhancement, and workflow optimization within the R&D Department.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings or projects to ensure alignment with company goals.
• Provide documentation or administrative support for audits, quality reviews, or special projects.

Key Requirements:

Knowledge & Experience

• Strong understanding of chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology or food science principles.
• Knowledge of extraction techniques (solvent, SFE, etc.), formulation science, and analytical methods (HPLC, UV-Vis, etc.).
• Familiarity with nutraceutical, functional food, or cosmetic ingredient development.
• Basic knowledge of product stability, regulatory requirements, and quality systems.
