Group General Manager

• Reports To: 3 Directors (Board of Directors)
• Direct Reports: HR Manager, Finance Manager, B2B Sales Manager, Export Manager, Marketing Manager, Operations Manager
• Probation: 12 months

The Group General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing all business operations and driving the company's strategic and financial performance across management and operations teams. This role acts as the central bridge between directors, departmental managers, and ground operations — ensuring smooth coordination, operational excellence, and profitable growth. The GM leads the management team, drives cross-functional alignment, and ensures execution of company strategy in line with its mission and values.

1. Strategic Leadership & Alignment

2. Translate company mission, vision, and annual targets into actionable plans.

3. Lead biweekly management meetings to review progress, resolve challenges, and maintain alignment across departments.
4. Conduct quarterly OKR setting and performance reviews with all managers.
5. Work closely with the 3 Directors to align on major expenses, contracts, and investments (for approval by Directors).
6. Prepare and present monthly performance reports summarizing key financial, operational, and people metrics.

7. Drive strategic initiatives supporting growth, export expansion, and market positioning.

8. Operational Excellence & Bridging Management and Operations

9. Oversee all daily operations including manufacturing, fulfilment, warehouse, procurement, and administration.

10. Ensure strong alignment and collaboration between office management teams (sales, marketing, finance, HR) and ground operations.
11. Review and strengthen SOPs, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.
12. Oversee compliance with ISO, GMP, HACCP, HALAL, and Organic certifications.

13. Lead continuous improvement in productivity, cost efficiency, and quality performance.

14. Financial & Commercial Performance

15. Oversee company P&L performance and ensure profitability in line with annual targets.

16. Collaborate with Finance Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
17. Monitor commercial performance across B2B, export, and marketing channels.
18. Ensure all sales and marketing investments deliver measurable ROI.

19. Drive strategic projects that contribute directly to top-line and bottom-line growth.

20. People Leadership & Culture Development

21. Lead, coach, and evaluate all department managers to ensure accountability and leadership growth.

22. Oversee HR strategies for training, talent development, and succession planning.
23. Conduct quarterly manager reviews focusing on progress, challenges, and capability development.

27. Governance, Risk & Compliance

28. Ensure compliance with local laws, food safety standards, and certification requirements.

29. Implement robust internal controls, data accuracy, and performance monitoring.
30. Identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and provide regular updates to Directors.

31. Lead audit readiness and documentation for ISO, HALAL, GMP, and Organic certification.

32. Key Projects & Change Management

33. Lead and stabilize the new factory move (Rawang) — ensuring smooth transition, system readiness, and minimal downtime.

34. Oversee new product launches and ensure interdepartmental coordination (procurement, production, marketing, sales).
35. Drive key strategic projects that strengthen long-term operational and brand competitiveness.

• Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Management, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of senior management experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or export industries.
• Proven track record managing both management and operational divisions.
• Strong P&L management experience with evidence of driving profitable growth.
• Familiar with food manufacturing compliance and certification processes.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership style.
