Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly committed and hands-on Site Supervisor (M&E) to join our project team for the implementation of TNB substation and building projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical and electrical installation works, ensuring that construction activities are carried out in compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all mechanical and electrical works at site — including air-conditioning & mechanical ventilation (ACMV), fire alarm systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, lighting, and earthing systems.
  • Assist Engineers/Project Managers/Consultants in monitoring M&E work progress and ensuring timely completion according to project milestones.
  • Ensure all M&E installations are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and local regulations (e.g., Suruhanjaya Tenaga, BOMBA).
  • Inspect and verify installation quality for equipment such as chillers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, electrical panels, and lighting systems.
  • Monitor and control subcontractor performance, including manpower, material usage, and machinery efficiency.
  • Coordinate with civil and structural teams to ensure proper integration of M&E services with overall construction works.
  • Identify, report, and resolve any technical or site issues that may affect progress or quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and promote a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Review shop drawings and as-built drawings, ensuring all changes are updated and properly documented.
  • Prepare daily site reports, inspection checklists, and progress updates for submission to the Project Manager.
  • Support testing and commissioning (T&C) activities for all M&E systems prior to handover.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized polytechnic or equivalent (SKM/DKM level accepted).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience in M&E construction works. Experience in TNB substation, industrial, or commercial building projects will be an added advantage.

  • Skills:

  • Knowledge in air-conditioning & mechanical ventilation (ACMV) systems.

  • Familiarity with electrical distribution systems, lighting, earthing, and grounding works.
  • Basic understanding of fire protection and alarm systems.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
  • Languages: Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Location: Willing to be based at project sites in Northern, Central, or Southern Malaysia.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Added Advantage:

  • Prior experience as M&E Site Supervisor in TNB or government infrastructure projects.

  • Familiar with authority submission and inspection procedures (e.g., ST, BOMBA).
  • Preference: Candidates available to start immediately.
