Responsibilities:

  • To conduct regular Food Safety and product quality audits to ensure compliance to food safety management system.
  • To follow up on CARs plan and report from outlets.
  • To provide guidance to operation departments on food safety and product quality standard.
  • Ensure all records and other relevant documentation pertaining to regulatory, safety and Halal compliance are defined, identified, documented, and updated
  • To conduct internal Halal audit as per schedule and review the CARs plan and evaluate the effectiveness.
  • Plan and execute Internal Halal Committee (IHC) Program.
  • Ensure compliance with Halal standards and regulations in all aspects of the business operations.
  • To manage the documentation and implementation of Halal Control System in the outlet.
  • Register new products and apply halal certificate according to the requirements of JAKIM regulation.
  • Maintain and keep accurate record to track all Halal-related certifications, Halal status of all the raw ingredients, food products certification and outlets.
  • Ensure compliance with Halal standards and regulations in all aspects of the business operations.
  • Accountable to handle any issues related to safety or Halal compliance, such as product recalls or contamination incidents.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on halal requirements, practices, and procedures.
  • Responsible for external Halal audit by JAKIM.
  • Any other ad-hoc task assigned by superior.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Halal Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Halal compliance, certification, or quality assurance in F&B or manufacturing.
  • Familiar with MS 1500:2019 Halal Food – Production, Preparation, Handling and Storage.
  • Understanding of JAKIM Halal certification process and requirements.
  • Strong documentation and audit management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
