About the Role

PichaEats is preparing to obtain
Halal certification

, a major milestone that will allow us to share our food with even more people and expand into new markets.

We're looking for a
strong, independent, and go-getter

Halal Executive

with
1–2 years of experience

and a valid
Halal Executive certification (from JAKIM or other recognized authority)

. You should already be qualified to practice and have
hands-on experience working with JAKIM

or similar bodies on Halal certification processes.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our kitchen, products, and processes meet all Halal requirements. You'll work closely with the
HR, Product, Production, and CEO teams

to align all processes for certification and compliance. Beyond Halal work, you'll also support other
company certifications and government-related requirements

, such as
DBKL licensing

and other operational compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

Halal Management & Compliance

• Serve as the main
  contact point with the Halal Certification Body (e.g., JAKIM)

and other related authorities.
- Manage all activities necessary to
safeguard the Halal status

of products produced by PichaEats.
- Monitor and ensure Halal compliance and sustainability in the central kitchen.
- Develop and maintain a robust and efficient
Halal Management System (HMS)

that complies with the requirements of relevant Halal authorities.
- Ensure full conformity with all certification requirements.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized
Halal documentation and records

- Monitor and evaluate the
effectiveness of the internal Halal Assurance System (HAS)

.

Certification & Product Development

• Facilitate
  Halal certification and renewal

for all products.
- Review and verify all
new material documentation

for menu innovation and updates.
- Liaise with
suppliers

to obtain approval from the Halal Committee prior to acceptance into the kitchen.
- Coordinate and prepare documentation and processes for
Halal site audits

by certification bodies.

Training, Liaison & Committee Coordination

• Coordinate
  Halal Committee meetings

and update members on Halal-related matters.
- Conduct and facilitate
Halal awareness training

for employees and ensure training records are maintained by HR.
- Collaborate with
management

on all Halal and government-related matters, including Halal certification, DBKL management, and other regulatory compliance.

Cross-Departmental Support & Growth

• Work closely with HR, Product, and Production teams to align Halal processes across operations.
• Provide support in
  other certification or compliance processes

relevant to the company's growth.
- Participate hands-on in certain tasks with Product, HR, or Production to gain a deeper understanding of processes and contribute to overall efficiency.

Qualifications & Attributes

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Halal Management, or related fields.
• Certified Halal Executive

(recognized by JAKIM or equivalent).
- Minimum
1–2 years of experience

in Halal certification, compliance, or food manufacturing.
- Prior experience
working with JAKIM or certification bodies

on application or audit processes.
- Strong understanding of
Halal standards and certification procedures

.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing documentation efficiently.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple departments.
- A proactive, independent, and growth-minded individual passionate about learning and contributing to company success.
