The Corporate Communication, Manager is responsible for formulating, implementing, and managing all communication strategies that enhance GD Holdings' brand identity, public image, and stakeholder engagement across all property development projects. This position oversees the company's branding direction, media relations, internal communication, event management, and digital presence to ensure consistent and effective communication that supports the company's business objectives and development growth.
Key Responsibilities:1. Corporate Branding and Strategic Communication
- Develop, plan, and execute comprehensive corporate communication strategies to strengthen the GD Holdings brand in the property development sector.
- Oversee the development and consistent application of corporate identity (logo usage, color palette, typography, signage, etc.) across all departments, subsidiaries, and project sites.
- Create and maintain updated company profiles, corporate brochures, corporate videos, and visual presentation materials.
- Supervise the production of high-quality marketing collaterals including project brochures, advertisements, signage, banners, and promotional displays.
- Ensure that all external communication materials, press content, and promotional campaigns align with the company's tone, image, and strategic vision.
- Monitor and maintain consistent corporate messaging across all platforms print, digital, and on-site.
2. Project Communication and Marketing Support
- Develop communication plans for each new property development project, including branding concepts, key visuals, marketing themes, and launch campaigns.
- Coordinate closely with Sales & Marketing, Project, and Business Development teams to ensure marketing materials reflect accurate project information, design intent, and selling points.
- Supervise the design, copywriting, and production of project promotional materials (brochures, banners, billboards, EDMs, project videos, etc.).
- Manage the timeline and budget of all project communication deliverables from concept to completion.
- Review and approve all visual and textual content related to projects before publication or distribution.
3. Media Relations and Publicity Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, editors, and online platforms relevant to property development.
- Develop press releases, media statements, Q&A documents, and articles to highlight the company's milestones, project launches, and CSR activities.
- Organize press conferences, media briefings, and exclusive media visits for key projects and corporate events.
- Monitor daily media coverage and prepare media clippings and analysis reports for management review.
- Manage crisis communication, prepare holding statements, and guide the company's public response during sensitive issues or incidents.
- Maintain a positive corporate reputation through proactive media engagement and consistent brand visibility.
4. Digital Presence and Online Reputation Management
- Oversee all digital communication platforms, including the company's website, social media channels, and digital newsletters.
- Plan and implement digital strategies to promote ongoing projects, CSR efforts, and corporate announcements.
- Ensure regular posting of engaging content, news updates, project progress, and corporate achievements on digital channels.
- Analyze and report on digital engagement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns.
- Manage collaboration with digital marketing agencies for SEO, SEM, social media ads, and online reputation monitoring.
5. Corporate Events and Public Engagement
- Plan and execute high-impact corporate and project-related events, including:
- Ground-breaking and topping-up ceremonies
- Project launch events and show unit openings
- Signing ceremonies and partnership announcements
- Festive celebrations and CSR programs
- Oversee event planning from concept development, budgeting, vendor coordination, logistics, media management, to post-event reporting.
- Ensure all events reflect the company's corporate values, branding identity, and professional standards.
- Develop event documentation, including speeches, scripts, press materials, and photography/videography guidelines.
6. Internal Communication and Corporate Culture Development
- Design and implement internal communication strategies to promote company values, employee engagement, and organizational transparency.
- Prepare internal newsletters, CEO messages, and intranet updates on company milestones and activities.
- Coordinate internal staff events, appreciation ceremonies, and festive gatherings to strengthen corporate culture.
- Ensure consistent messaging between internal and external communication channels.
7. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Stakeholder Engagement
- Plan and manage CSR initiatives that align with the company's sustainability and community-building objectives.
- Identify CSR opportunities relevant to the property development industry (e.g., environmental programs, community housing, education sponsorship).
- Coordinate with NGOs, local councils, and stakeholders to execute impactful CSR projects.
- Prepare CSR reports and documentation for management review and external communication.
8. Content Creation and Editorial Oversight
- Oversee the creation of written and visual content for all communication materials — including annual reports, newsletters, advertisements, and multimedia content.
- Ensure content accuracy, clarity, and alignment with corporate goals and project branding.
- Manage freelance writers, graphic designers, photographers, and creative agencies to deliver professional-quality outputs.
9. Budgeting, Reporting, and Performance Monitoring
- Develop and manage the Corporate Communications annual budget, covering branding, media, events, and digital marketing expenditures.
- Track spending, vendor payments, and ensure cost efficiency in all communication initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports on brand visibility, media performance, and communication effectiveness for management review.
- Continuously review communication strategies for improvement and implement best practices across projects.
10. Leadership and Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Corporate Communications team to enhance their skills in branding, writing, design, and media coordination.
- Set clear goals, monitor team performance, and provide guidance to ensure timely and quality output.
- Foster a collaborative working environment with other departments to ensure communication consistency throughout the organization.
11. Stakeholder and Government Liaison
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local authorities, joint-venture partners, investors, community representatives, and industry associations.
- Represent GD Holdings in meetings, briefings, and networking events with regulatory bodies and external partners.
- Coordinate with local councils, planning departments, and federal authorities on project-related approvals, community engagement programs, and compliance communication.
- Prepare official letters, press statements, and presentations for government correspondence and stakeholder communication.
- Monitor and maintain awareness of public policies, industry regulations, and socio-economic developments relevant to the property sector.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or PR preferably within the property development or construction sector.
- Strong understanding of branding, stakeholder engagement, and media management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
- Proven experience liaising with government agencies, local councils, and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media management tools.
- Able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
