We are looking for a
Chargeman BO (33kV)
with an
electrical engineering background
to lead and manage high-voltage operations within our manufacturing plant. This role offers the opportunity to
take on leadership responsibilities
while contributing to technical improvements, system reliability, and energy efficiency across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 33kV, ensuring compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) and safety regulations.
  • Lead the implementation of preventive maintenance programs for HV equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems.
  • Support or lead
    electrical engineering tasks
    such as load analysis, energy audits, and system design improvements.
  • Coordinate with TNB, consultants, and contractors on electrical-related matters, shutdowns, and projects.
  • Plan and execute electrical upgrade projects, plant expansions, and system enhancements.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, risk assessments, and compliance reports.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and task delegation
    to technicians, contractors, or junior team members.
  • Monitor work performance, ensure safe practices, and enforce operational discipline within the team.
  • Propose and drive continuous improvement initiatives in energy usage, reliability, and system efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings, contribute to capex planning, and support top management in decision-making related to plant electrical systems.

Requirements:

  1. Valid BO Chargeman Certificate (33kV) issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
  2. Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  3. Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
  4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HV equipment, and safety procedures.
  5. Leadership or management experience (or potential) is an added advantage.
  6. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination skills.
  7. Able to work independently and take ownership of plant-level electrical operations.
  8. Computer literate; familiar with maintenance software and technical reporting tools.
