Job Summary

The Data Centre Facilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of all critical infrastructure systems within the data centre. This role ensures continuous uptime, optimal system performance, and adherence to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection systems.
  • Monitor and manage data centre infrastructure, including power systems (UPS, generators, switchgear), cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH units), and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Troubleshoot equipment faults and respond promptly to emergencies to minimize downtime and service disruption.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, operational reports, and maintenance documentation.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of all equipment and facilities.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new systems or equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for scheduled maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data centre or critical facility maintenance, preferably at a supervisory or managerial level in a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UPS systems, generators, chillers, and switchgear.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willing to work on rotating shifts and respond to after-hours or emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
