Role Summary

A Junior Data Centre Operator supports the daily operations of a data centre, ensuring systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. This entry-level role focuses on monitoring, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting, often under the guidance of senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor servers, network systems, and batch processing jobs for performance and uptime.
  • Perform routine hardware checks, backups, and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Assist in troubleshooting system and network issues to minimize downtime
  • Document operational procedures and maintenance activities for internal records
  • Support secure data transfer and storage processes, including disaster recovery protocols
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and assist with cabling (Ethernet/fiber) as needed
  • Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve technical issues efficiently

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Basic understanding of server hardware, networking, and operating systems
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and backup systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM2,400.00 per month
