About the Client:

Our client is a well-established organization involved in the plantation industry, with strong operational presence in East Malaysia. The company upholds a culture of professionalism, integrity, and excellence, and is seeking a capable finance leader to oversee and strengthen its financial management functions.

The Role:

The Head, Finance & Accounts will lead the overall finance and accounting operations, ensuring sound financial governance and effective stewardship of the company's resources. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented leader who can provide both strategic direction and operational oversight in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, audit, and taxation.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure financial stability and support business growth.
  • Lead the preparation of annual financial statements, budgets, and management reports in compliance with statutory requirements and corporate policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax-related matters and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities.
  • Uphold corporate governance and regulatory compliance standards across all financial operations.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management for effective decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with proven leadership in managing finance and accounting functions, preferably within the plantation or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, taxation, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Willing to be based in Bintulu, Sarawak.
