Role Purpose

Motor Specialist will support the development and execution of the company's Motor Strategy, focusing on growth, innovation, and partnership initiatives. This includes embedding insurance and non-insurance components within the motor ecosystem, developing telematics and safety incentive programs, and building strong commercial collaborations that deliver value to all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategy Execution & Project Management

  2. Support the implementation of the Motor Strategy roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of strategic initiatives.

  3. Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects involving internal teams (Underwriting, Product, Tech, Operations) and external partners.

  4. Track project milestones, identify risks, and propose proactive solutions to maintain momentum.

  5. Market Research & Insights

  6. Conduct market scans to identify emerging trends in the motor ecosystem (e.g., telematics, usage-based insurance, EV adoption, embedded insurance).

  7. Benchmark competitors and new distribution models to support product and partnership recommendations.

  8. Prepare research briefs and business proposals to support strategic decision-making.

  9. Partnership Development & Commercial Negotiation

  10. Identify, approach, and engage potential motor ecosystem partners (e.g., OEMs, Car Park Management, Car Spa, Tinting & etc)

  11. Craft compelling partnership propositions and commercial models that create win-win outcomes for all parties.

  12. Support negotiation and onboarding of new partners, balancing strategic alignment with commercial viability.

  13. Innovation & Product Development

  14. Explore new and innovative solutions that integrate telematics, behavioral data, or safety incentives into motor propositions.

  15. Collaborate with internal teams to prototype and pilot new initiatives.

  16. Evaluate pilot outcomes and provide insights for scale-up or refinement.

  17. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  18. Prepare presentations, reports, and updates for management on project progress and outcomes.

  19. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  20. Represent the Motor Strategy team in meetings and discussions with partners and regulators when required

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in insurance, strategy, project management, or partnerships, preferably in insurance.
  • Strong coordination and project management skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Able to conduct market research and competitor analysis to support business decisions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other basic project tools.
  • A proactive team player who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
