About the role

As a Building Technician at Trend Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our commercial properties in Klang, Selangor. This full-time position is responsible for carrying out a range of technical and maintenance tasks to keep our facilities running efficiently and safely.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security
  2. Troubleshooting and repairing any issues that arise with building equipment and infrastructure
  3. Performing general handyman duties such as painting, carpentry, and basic repairs
  4. Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard and in compliance with relevant regulations and safety protocols
  5. Collaborating with the facilities management team to identify and implement improvements to building systems and procedures
  6. Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant technical qualification or trade certification in building maintenance, engineering, or a similar field
  2. 2-3 years' experience as a building technician or in a similar role, preferably in the real estate or facilities management industry
  3. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of technical issues
  4. Good working knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
  5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with colleagues, contractors, and building occupants
  7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
