Job Purpose

To improve overall Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) performances by analyses the process, documentation, and records including to enhance and provide recommendations to bridge from the stage of implementation through to operational by promoting operational efficiencies, build a positive engineering culture and environment through the right collaborative framework with Rapid Rail; and enhance relationship with regulatory bodies. To manage railway improvement projects to improve railway services Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM).

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct RAM Performance analysis of all railway lines (KJL, AGL, MRL, KGL, PYL) with regards to the following activities:
  • Conduct RAM analysis and identify solution findings through engagement with internal and external party for any changes required by operation and/ or system that may improve overall operations.
  • Support RAM related projects under GSAD (i.e. RAMS Audit, System Assurance Audit, etc)
  • Manage and support for all the MKBF initiatives (i.e. MKBF Initiatives Monitoring)
  • Support the Failure Review Panel (FRP) meeting and monitor the FRP sub-committee to ensure objectives of FRP is met.
  • Execute Failure Management meeting, identify effective action taken is recorded and track.
  • Conduct the analysis of any accidents, incidents, near misses and other risky occurrences to ensure that any recommendations/findings are implemented.
  • Process management, documentation and record to ensure it is comply and updated according to policy and procedures (i.e. System Assurance Plan, TOR, FRACAS Procedures).
  • Execute internal and external stakeholders' interfaces.
  • Provide support and assistance in other rail transit project on need basis (i.e. LRT3, ICC2.0 etc).
  • Manage and execute any task or asignment assigned by immediate superior.
  • Manage staff's competencies with adequate resources are maintained at an acceptable level.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in railway engineering, data science, analytic, computing related work.
  • Knowledgeable with RAMS analysis and demonstration methods and tools. Experienced or certified in any data analytics tools. Experience in railway related projects.
  • Experienced and/or certified in any data analytics and data scientists tools. Experience in railway related projects.
  • Attended courses related Railway RAMS. Certified in EN 50126 or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Good proficiency with SQL, Python, Microsoft Power Platform, Databases (MySQL, Azure), BI Tools (Microsoft PowerBI), System Development (PHP, Power Apps).
