About the Role

As a Senior Process Engineer at Penchem Technologies Sdn. Bhd., you will be a key contributor to the company's pursuit of engineering excellence and operational innovation. You will lead efforts to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance product quality, and improve overall production efficiency. Based in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, this role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and improve existing processes to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and enhance productivity and yield.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions (NPI) and process scale-up activities to ensure smooth transitions from design to production.
  • Design, execute, and evaluate process validation and capability studies to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead process development initiatives, including new process design, time studies, and continuous performance monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime, defects, and production losses.
  • Develop and implement rework processes when necessary to address quality or process deviations.
  • Establish and maintain control plans and comprehensive engineering documentation.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to production teams to build technical competencies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports and presentations summarizing key findings, performance metrics, and improvement recommendations.

What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience in process engineering, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated success in executing process optimization, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in mechanical and process design, ERP systems, or the chemical industry will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC tools will be considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
