About the role

This is a contract position for a Site Supervisor (Steel Structure) with Dae Guk M Sdn Bhd, based in Samalaju, Bintulu, Sarawak. You will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the construction of steel structures on site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities related to steel structure construction, including planning, scheduling, and implementation
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Manage and oversee a team of skilled workers, including carpenters, welders, and general workers
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the project manager
  • Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process
  • Collaborate with other site supervisors and project stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the project

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of steel structure construction methods, techniques, and materials
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
  • Proficient in project management and coordination skills
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and quality standards in the construction industry
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead a diverse group of workers
