About the role

Our company is seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor (Yellow Book Holder) to join our team in Mukah Division, Sarawak. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of our construction site operations. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of workplace safety.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards
  • Implementing and monitoring safety procedures and policies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Providing training and guidance to site personnel on safety best practices
  • Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents that occur, and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to develop and maintain comprehensive safety plans
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to safety activities
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in health, safety and environmental legislation and industry standards

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Possession of a valid Yellow Book (Certificate of Construction Site Safety Supervisor) certification
  • Thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices applicable to the construction industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with site personnel, project managers and other stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address safety-related issues
  • Proficient in report writing and data analysis
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure to meet project deadlines
