Job Purpose:

To manage and support the finance, administrative, and operational functions of a newly acquired joint venture (JV) company. The role is pivotal in ensuring timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, effective HR administration, and successful coordination with internal and external stakeholders during the setup and integration period.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance, Accounting & Tax

  • Manage full set of company accounts, ensuring timely month-end closing and financial reporting.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
  • Handle tax matters including preparation and submission of corporate tax, SST, and other statutory filings.
  • Monitor and manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the setup and management of banking facilities, including account opening, mandate updates, and credit facilities.

Costing

  • Establish and maintain cost accounting systems relevant to the company's operations.
  • Perform cost analysis to support pricing decisions and margin control.
  • Provide insights into production or service cost drivers for operational efficiency.

Administrative & Regulatory Management

  • Handle administrative functions including office operations, licenses, insurance, and general upkeep.
  • Manage applications and submissions to relevant government authorities, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to the company setup and operations.
  • Maintain and update company records and statutory documents.

Human Resource Support

  • Administrate basic HR functions including payroll coordination, leave administration, employee records, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Support compliance with local labour laws and HR policies applicable to the JV Co.
  • Act as the key liaison between group HR and the JV's operational team.

Governance, Internal Controls & Integration

  • Ensure internal controls are in place and aligned with group policies.
  • Support post-acquisition integration activities, including process harmonization and system implementation.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or professional qualifications
  • Minimum 4-6 years of working experience in finance and administration function, preferably with exposure to joint ventures or newly established entities.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
  • Willing to travel outstation to Tanjung Tualang, Perak, when necessary for business or operational requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, ERP, SQL, or others).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
