About the Role

We are seeking a Business Support Officer to join our General Insurance (GI) Unit. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing administrative and operational support to ensure efficient processing of new business, renewals, and policy servicing.

Job Descriptions

New Business

  • To handle new business enquiries and submissions from advisers, including quotation requests, policy issuance, and claim submission coordination.
  • To follow up on outstanding requirements with insurers and update advisers accordingly.
  • To ensure all new business-related emails are responded to promptly and appropriately.

Policy Servicing

  • To handle policy servicing enquiries from adviser, including request procedure, advice on the request, etc.
  • To ensure the submission of policy servicing forms is completed.
  • To inform adviser on the collection of policy servicing related document.

Administrative

  • Ensure documents and information shared among insurers in Google Drive are updated and organized.
  • Maintain and archive hard copy documents related to GI unit in an orderly manner.
  • Monitor and reconcile Statements of Account from all GI providers.

Ad-Hoc

  • Provide coverage and support to colleagues in the GI unit when required (e.g., during leave or peak workload).
  • Assist in company events, projects, or campaigns related to insurance business.

Renewal, Penetration

  • Notify advisers on renewals and send relevant documents promptly.
  • Monitor and ensure timely renewal of existing general insurance business.
  • Maintain renewal tracking reports to support business monitoring.
Job Requirements
  • Candidates must possess at least a Diploma qualification in any field of study.
  • Sound knowledge in insurance, especially general insurance, is an added advantage.
  • Fast learner with strong multitasking ability.
  • Excellent English writing and communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and able to meet tight deadlines.
