Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced M&E Supervisor (Site) to oversee daily mechanical and electrical works at our building construction projects. The role is responsible for coordinating subcontractors, ensuring all M&E installations comply with drawings and authority requirements, supervising site progress, and supporting testing and commissioning activities until handover.

Job Description

  • Supervise and monitor daily M&E works, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building services.
  • Coordinate and supervise M&E subcontractors to ensure all installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes of practice.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, identify defects or non-conformances, and ensure timely rectification.
  • Ensure all M&E works comply with the requirements of relevant authorities (e.g. Suruhanjaya Tenaga, BOMBA, Indah Water, TNB, Air Selangor).
  • Prepare, update, and maintain daily site records, including site logs, progress reports, and photo documentation.
  • Inspect and verify delivered M&E materials to ensure correct specifications, quantities, and quality.
  • Assist in the preparation of method statements, inspection checklists, and testing & commissioning documents.
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Consultants, Main Contractor, and other trades to resolve technical and site issues.
  • Monitor site safety for M&E activities, highlight unsafe practices, and report any accidents or near-miss incidents.
  • Assist in testing and commissioning of M&E systems (electrical, fire protection systems, ACMV, plumbing and sanitary) prior to handover.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant M&E site experience in building construction projects.
  • Able to read and interpret M&E construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Good knowledge of M&E standards, local authority requirements, and inspection procedures.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required to meet project deadlines.
