Key Accountabilities

  • Execute district sales and trade marketing plans within assigned territories and channels to achieve volume, distribution, and brand visibility targets.
  • Support the management of assigned distributors and/or key direct accounts through close follow-up on execution, stock availability, credit discipline, and outlet coverage.
  • Supervise, coach, and guide Market Representatives / DMRs to ensure effective route execution, call discipline, and compliance with company SOPs.
  • Monitor in-market execution including pricing, promotions, POSM deployment, visibility, and product availability, and take corrective actions where required.
  • Conduct regular market visits to review outlet performance, identify gaps, and ensure agreed standards of execution are met.
  • Track sales performance against targets, highlight risks and opportunities, and recommend short-term corrective actions to close gaps.
  • Collect, consolidate, and report market intelligence including competitor activities, trade dynamics, and customer feedback.
  • Support sales forecasting by providing timely and accurate inputs based on market movements, distributor stock, and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate closely with distributors, logistics, and internal teams to ensure smooth order processing, delivery, and stock management.
  • Prepare routine sales performance updates, execution reports, and market feedback for review with the Management team.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in FMCG sales, distributor management, or key account handling. Experience in the food & beverages sector is an added advantage.
  • Understanding of FMCG sales operations, distributor management, and route-to-market execution.
  • Knowledge of distributor and outlet management fundamentals, trade marketing mechanics and in-store execution.
  • Understand basic sales forecasting, inventory, credit control processes, local market dynamics and consumer behavior.
  • Strong execution and follow-through capability with good people supervision, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills for day-to-day sales challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple outlets, distributors, and stakeholders independently.
  • Results-driven, disciplined, and well-organized with effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and sales reporting systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent)

  • Market Intelligence: Timely, accurate feedback on competitor activity and market movements.
  • Operational Support: Smooth coordination with logistics and internal teams to support sales delivery.
