About The Position
We are seeking an innovative and strategic Engineering Lead to build & lead team of Technical Artists to help align existing R&D team with production-oriented teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical art, interest in AI technologies and a passion for driving advancements that enhance our production pipelines and creative processes.

Responsibilities

  • Team Building and Management:
  • Recruit, lead, and inspire a team of Technical Artists dedicated to exploring AI and R&D initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of creativity and technical excellence.
  • Establish clear goals and performance metrics to drive team success and innovation.
  • Centralize tools and data
  • Guide the team working on centralized data repository on any aspect necessary to centralize and streamline usage of data in Virtuos
  • Coordinate with involved parties to identify, collect, adjust & promote set of internal tools to be used by Technical Artists worldwide
  • Guide R&D team on specifics of Technical Art when bringing new solutions to production projects
  • Drive the development and deployment of scalable tools and solutions that enhance productivity and creativity across the organization
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with senior management on building roadmap for technical innovation in Art space leveraging mixture of AI & traditional techniques
  • Develop strong connections with Key Users in studios, helping drive change locally, ensuring alignment between strategic directions and local realities
  • Facilitate effective communication between artists, technical artists, and project teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • AI and Technical Art Integration:
  • Stay at the forefront of technical art and AI advancements, evaluating their applicability to our production pipelines.
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the integration of AI in technical art, aligning with company goals and industry trends.
  • Lead efforts to integrate AI technologies into art processes, improving efficiency, quality, and creative possibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Art, AI, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in video game's technical art ideally with a proven track record of successful R&D & AI initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams in a creative and technical environment.
  • Deep understanding of art creation tools and AI technologies relevant to game development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
