Sika was first established in Malaysia in 1989 and full operations commenced in 1991 through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd, with the completion of its local head office and production plant in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.  Since then, the company has gained a leading position in the country with the acceptance and endorsement of its products for construction and industrial applications by local and international proponents.

In the Construction sector, our business activities cover the full spectrum of project types ranging from infrastructural development to buildings, from institutional facilities to manufacturing plants.  We service our direct customers – concrete producers, contractors and distributors – and stay close to them through our central sales & marketing office in Petaling Jaya and a network of sales offices in Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.  In 2014 our presence in the Malaysian construction continued to grow when our Ipoh Plant was built and running to meet customer demands.

In Malaysia, our Industry Division is the clear market leader in the automotive glass replacement sector (AGR) and the "Sikaflex" brand is instantly recognized as a mark for quality, reliability and performance.  In the automotive OEM sector, we are the approved supplier to top German car markets such as Mercedes Benz and BMW.  Meanwhile, Sika leads the field in total bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protection solutions for bus, truck and rail vehicle manufacturing, and for the assembly of appliances, industrial equipment and building components.

Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd currently employs more than 340 people in Sales & Marketing, Technical Service, Finance, HR & Administration, Laboratory, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service and Warehouse.

1. To coordinate production planning and scheduling to achieve desired productivity

2. To ensure availability of Inter-Company and Trading Items to meet the sales demand;

3. To control inventory level to achieve desired working capital

4. To ensure daily job routine procedure in full compliance of EHS and Company ISO

requirement

a. Main

• To liaise with Lab QC / Procurement for Lab tests / PO issues respectively

• Issue GRN in AX for QC and submit to Finance after approval by supervisor

• To constantly control inventory level to achieve desired ONWC

• To control and follow up replenishment and planning-related Purchase Orders in AX system

• Follow up with procurement/supplier for on-time delivery

• To work out and communicate the weekly production plan to all relevant parties

• To coordinate with the Production Supervisors in executing the production plan

• To identify slow moving items alongside with Warehouse Manager and communicate proactively

with respective Target Market Managers for further action

b. Others

• Any other tasks assigned from time to time

c. Security

• To maintain Sika information with appropriate secrecy and adhere to policies regarding

confidential information

• To maintain confidentiality of formulation at all times

d. Limitations of Authority

• No purchase of equipment and/or materials without approval from Senior Purchasing

Manager / Operations Manager / General Manager as per MOA

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Manufacturing.

• Able to work with minimum supervision;

• Good communication skill in Mandarin, English and BM;

• Teamwork oriented;

• Knowledge of ERP system (e.g., Axapta Dynamics, SAP, etc.);

• Microsoft Office intermediate level (Excel, Power Point, Word);

• Good analytical and problem solving skills;

• Good organization skill and able to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines;

• Understand how the different KPI impact the Company overall.
