Job Summary
The Facilities & Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and security of all company buildings, equipment, and premises. This includes managing facility operations, preventive maintenance programs, vendor and contractor performance, workplace safety, and security systems to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment for all employees.
Job Description:
Facilities Management
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of buildings, utilities, and infrastructure (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, and fire protection systems).
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Manage all facility improvement projects, including renovations, space planning, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, and local authorities' requirements.
- Monitor and manage service contracts (cleaning, landscaping, pest control, waste management, cafeteria, etc.).
- Manage facility budget and expenditure, ensuring cost efficiency and proper vendor management.
- Coordinate with EHS and engineering teams to ensure a safe and compliant workplace environment.
- Plan and support business continuity, emergency response, and crisis management programs related to facilities.
Security Management
- Lead and manage the company's security operations, including both in-house and outsourced security personnel.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and access control systems (CCTV, ID badges, visitor management).
- Conduct security risk assessments and recommend preventive measures to safeguard people, property, and assets.
- Investigate security incidents, theft, or breaches and provide reports with corrective actions.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies and government authorities when necessary.
- Ensure 24/7 security coverage and readiness during emergencies or special event
General & Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and develop facilities and security teams to ensure operational excellence.
- Manage vendor and contractor performance, ensuring adherence to scope, safety, and quality standards.
- Prepare monthly reports on facility operations, security incidents, and cost performance for management review.
- Support sustainability initiatives such as energy conservation, waste reduction, and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments (HR, EHS, IT, Production) to support site operations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, Security Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in facilities and security management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Sound knowledge of building systems, security technology, and statutory compliance requirements (DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, etc.).
- Strong leadership, planning, and vendor management skills.
- Good communication and report-writing abilities in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Certified in Emergency Response, Safety Management, or Security Operations is an added advantage
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM7, RM9,000.00 per month
