About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager with a strong Mechanical and Electrical Engineering background to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of our cold room logistics facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the refrigeration systems and facility infrastructure perform at optimal levels to support our cold chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of all facility systems, including refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and building infrastructure.
  • Ensure the cold room temperature and performance parameters meet operational and regulatory standards at all times.
  • Manage and monitor the monthly preventive maintenance program carried out by external service providers.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify equipment performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, energy usage, and equipment performance reports.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure all maintenance and repair works meet safety and quality requirements.
  • Develop and implement energy efficiency and cost optimization initiatives for the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and improvement initiatives related to the refrigeration and facility systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the operations team on equipment-related matters.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities management, ideally within cold storage, logistics, or food processing environments.
  • Strong understanding of industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia or freon-based), electrical distribution, and building services.
  • Proven ability to manage third-party maintenance contractors and ensure timely execution of maintenance programs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate across departments.
  • Familiarity with ISO, HACCP, and safety management systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge with facility safety, security and regulatory compliance will be a an added advantage.
  • Able to work independently, multitask, be organized, meticulous, result-oriented, and meet deadlines.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and able to work in a fast, dynamic, and challenging environment.
  • Positive working attitude and a good team player.
