About the role

RENG Education Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts for our organisation, contributing to our overall success. This is a full-time position that offers great opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Handling accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
  2. Preparing and analysing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  3. Assisting with budget planning, forecasting, and monitoring
  4. Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
  5. Providing support to the finance team and collaborating with other departments as needed
  6. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  7. Continually seeking ways to improve financial processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably in the education industry
  2. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero)
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  5. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team
  7. Proactive, organised, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  8. Relevant accounting qualifications, such as a diploma or degree in Accounting, are preferred
