- Job Duties & Responsibilities
The duties focus heavily on the commercial, strategic, and cross-functional aspects of the automotive supply chain.
A. Business Acquisition & Sales
- Lead the RFQ/RFP Process: Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to securing the final sourcing decision for new programs and components.
- Proposal Development: Support the creation of detailed, technically sound, and commercially competitive proposals and price quotations for client programs.
- Negotiation: Assist in the negotiation of commercial agreements, pricing structures, and long-term contracts to ensure maximum profitability and favorable terms.
B. Client & Relationship Management
- Key Account Management: Serve as a primary commercial point of contact for assigned OEM and Tier 1 accounts, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze market, competitor, and customer-specific information to anticipate future needs and identify new areas for product application (e.g., in EV platforms, sensor technology).
- Forecasting: Work with sales operations to accurately forecast customer demand, sales volumes, and revenue projections for both new and existing contracts.
C. Internal & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaison Role: Facilitate clear communication and alignment between the customer's purchasing/commercial team and internal groups, including Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the annual business development plan, setting clear growth targets and strategic initiatives.
CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress within the CRM system.
Requirements & Qualifications
The requirements demand a blend of commercial acumen, technical understanding, and soft skills essential for B2B engagement.
A. Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related technical field is typically required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or key account management, preferably within the automotive, heavy machinery, or complex industrial manufacturing sector.
- Technical Familiarity: Understanding of automotive industry standards, manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, injection molding, assembly), and product lifecycle is a significant asset.
B. Key Skills
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics, pricing strategies, and contract terms.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to manage complex, long-cycle contract negotiations with high-level client procurement teams.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, financial reports, and technical specifications to build robust business cases.
C. Technical Proficiency
- CRM Software: Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for pipeline management and reporting.
- Standard Tools: Expert user of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for complex data analysis and PowerPoint for professional presentations.
