Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Trilingual)

Location: Penang

Job Type: Full Time

Experience: Fresh Graduate - 5 years experience

Languages Required: Fluent in English, Malay & Mandarin

Key Responsibilities:

1) Cost Management: Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for construction or project-related activities.

2) Tendering & Contracts: Assist with the preparation of tender documents, evaluate contractor bids, and support contract negotiations.

3) Measurement & Valuation: Carry out accurate measurement of work, materials, and quantities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

4) Cost Analysis: Analyze costs and provide reports on project financials, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage cost overruns.

5) Client & Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure clear understanding of project costs, schedules, and any potential risks.

6) Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present periodic cost reports and maintain accurate records of costs, changes, and variations throughout the project lifecycle.

7) Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks in the projects.

8) Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Requirements:

1) Languages: Fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in all three languages.

2) Experience: Fresh Graduate - 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction industry.

2) Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

3) Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accurate cost estimations and risk assessments.

4) Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate issues and propose practical solutions for cost management and project delivery.

5) Cultural Sensitivity: Comfortable working in a multicultural environment, understanding the nuances of different languages and cultures.
