Job Purpose
The Distributor Development Executive is responsible for driving distributor performance, strengthening route-to-market execution, and ensuring compliance with company standards. This role focuses on improving distributor capability, sales growth, operational excellence, and market execution to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Review distributor performance against KPIs (sales, coverage, strike rate, inventory, OSA, )
- Ensure distribution targets, numeric distribution, and weighted distribution are met.
- Support channel development (grocery, mini market, convenience, HORECA, etc.).
- Drive perfect store standards and excellence in execution.
- Optimize sales coverage and routing for distributor sales teams.
- Ensure effective field force deployment: SR, Supervisors, Merchandisers.
- Conduct joint field visits to coach and improve sales capability.
- Validate market execution via regular trade audits.
Support recruitment, training, and capability development of distributor teams.
- Conduct coaching sessions on selling skills, product knowledge, and execution.
- Produce weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide insights to internal teams on issues affecting sales, service level, or distributor operations.
What You Need To Succeed
EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum SPM or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, distributor management, or FMCG preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Able to analyze data and translate insights into action.
- Willing to travel frequently for market visits.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting systems.
- Fluent in English, Malay & Chinese
