Job Purpose

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer (Mandarin Speaker) to support operational excellence at Coffeebot by improving processes related to vending machine operations, servicing, logistics, and quality performance. This role plays a key part in optimizing efficiency, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and improve operational workflows related to vending machine deployment, servicing, refilling, and maintenance
  • Conduct time & motion studies for service routes, technician productivity, and machine turnaround time
  • Identify inefficiencies, root causes, and improvement opportunities using data and on-site observations
  • Develop and improve SOPs, work instructions, and standard service processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, PDCA) within operations and service teams
  • Monitor service performance KPIs (response time, machine uptime, repeat issues, service quality)
  • Work closely with Operations, QA, Warehouse, and Service Teams
  • Prepare operational reports and dashboards for management review
  • Liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers, manufacturers, or technical partners, especially related to machine parts, documentation, or technical discussions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline
  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, service, or technical environment
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken & written) is required
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel; experience with data analysis tools is an advantage
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement concepts
  • Able to work on-site and in a fast-paced operational environment
