  • Assess all aspect of technical underwriting, policy wordings review, survey requirement / risk improvements inclusive of Risk Referrals approval recommendation on all new and renewals for fire class of insurances.
  • Assist in providing professional advice, , guidance and support to Business Units and Branch personnel in all aspects of Fire & Miscellaneous underwriting management & operations.
  • Work closely with Risk Survey Department, Claims Department as well with Business Units to combat adverse trends by evaluating survey reports/adjuster reports, loss ratio, claims trends. Providing recommendation on risk improvements measures whenever possible.
  • Assist in reviewing underwriting guidelines or procedures periodically for continually improvements & adaption to market changes.
  • Assist in performing market research and development work of Fire & Miscellaneous insurances through analyzing market needs and formulate profitable or sellable products.
  • Perform any other ad hoc roles or EVS activities as required by management for mutual growth.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have

  • Degree holder or relevant insurance qualification or AMII would be added advantage.
  • 1 - 2 years working experience preferable in Underwriting.
  • Good communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Detailed oriented with analytical skills.
  • Good planning and organization skills.
