We are now seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our Malaysia-based team. You will work remotely with Australian clients, performing bookkeeping, assistant accounting, administration, tax form preparation, and payroll duties. The role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively with international teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate financial records using Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Sage, and Reckon.
  2. Process daily transactions including invoicing, payments, and receipts.
  3. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly.
  4. Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and STP reports to the ATO (Australia Tax Office).
  5. Process payroll, superannuation, and leave entitlements.
  6. Assist in preparing Tax Returns, FBT Returns, and financial statements.
  7. Manage accounts payable, receivable, and collections.
  8. Support budgeting, cash flow, and reporting for clients.
  9. Ensure compliance with Australian tax and payroll regulations and ASIC requirements.
  10. Provide administrative support including client communication and record-keeping.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of professional bookkeeping experience (3+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Australian tax and payroll compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
