Position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Job Description:

(a) Provide quality control services such as routine finished product release/on-hold, coordination of quality issues at Co-Mans.

  • Oversee and verify QA Assistant execution on data entry (BPCS transfer, tagging, Samples Transporter arrangement) ensures accuracy, risk evaluation and decision on exceptional release or rejection based on evidence.
  • Back up personnel for incoming inspections of Coman products against defined standards and specifications if QA Assistant is not available.
  • Manage acceptance or rejection decisions for incoming materials, ensuring timely updates in Coman folder.

(b). Support in TAG vendor auditing program.

  • Conduct scheduled Coman audits across assigned areas, document findings, and track corrective & preventive actions to closure. Ensure Coman CAPA trending analysis is ready by end of every month.
  • Support Coman compliance programs and maintain readiness for compliance and regulatory audits.
  • Collaborate with Coman to address audit gaps and become Continuous Improvement Partner for Coman Process, this includes preparation of Audit Plan, ensure timely closure of Coman CAPA, planning for annual audit schedule, audit readiness of Coman & Coman CAPA performance tracking.

(c). QA lead in new Co-Man project assessment and qualification

  • Review supplier documentation for new or recurring raw materials to ensure compliance that includes raw materials risk assessment, food fraud risk assessment, validation data & new Co-Man capability evaluation. Coach QA Assistant in documentation of new product/vendor onboarding process.
  • Manage supplier non-conformance processes, including issuing, following up, and closing corrective & preventive action requests (CAPA) thru cross-functional vendor meetings & new product qualifications.
  • Prepare supplier performance reports and highlight trends or risks to management.
  • Work with suppliers to strengthen quality practices and alignment with company standards thru cross-functional vendor meetings & new product qualifications.

Requirement:

  • Degree in Food Science/Food Technology/Food Engineering with minimum 5 years of working experience in food manufacturing.
  • Experience in managing quality and food safety requirements in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience as an internal or external quality auditor. Certified lead auditor will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in GFSI, GMP, ISO and HACCP system.
  • Experience in problem solving, critical thinking and assertive in decision making.
  • Management skills on tasks and people and fast learner.
