About the role

Khoon Associates' is seeking a talented Taxation Accountant to join our dynamic team in Ipoh, Perak. As a Taxation Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing expert tax advisory and compliance services to our diverse client base. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth and success of our firm.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and filing accurate income tax returns, GST/SST returns, and other tax-related documents for clients
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations to clients on tax planning, minimisation strategies, and compliance
  • Conducting thorough tax research and analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities for clients
  • Collaborating with the broader accounting team to ensure seamless integration of tax services with other financial functions
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations, and proactively communicating their impact to clients
  • Assisting with tax audits and representing clients in discussions with tax authorities
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative tax solutions and services

What we're looking for

  • Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or CA)
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in a taxation accounting role, preferably within a professional services firm
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, client-focused tax advice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
