Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Finance Manager based in WP Kuala Lumpur. The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations, manage budgets, analyze financial data, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to financial planning, forecasting, monitoring expenditures, and supporting strategic decision-making. The Finance Manager will collaborate across departments to align financial practices with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting & Management

  2. Oversee daily accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation).

  3. Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial

statements.

  • Develop budgets and forecasts; provide analysis of financial variances.

  • Support the management team with financial insights for strategic decisions.

  • Cost Control & Inventory Oversight

  • Track and manage food and beverage costs, identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Ensure accurate stock valuation and reconciliation with POS and inventory

systems.

  • Conduct periodic stock audits with outlet teams.

  • Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with SST, corporate tax, and local statutory obligations.

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities.

  • Maintain effective internal controls to prevent fraud or misreporting.

  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor daily cash flow, payment schedules, and collections.

  • Manage banking relationships and monthly reconciliations.

  • Prepare CAPEX plans and financial models for new outlets or renovations.

  • Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Lead, coach, and supervise a small team of finance staff.

  • Continuously enhance accounting systems and reporting efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and procurement teams.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience, with at least 2 in the F&B or hospitality industry.
  • Proficient in accounting software

Excel

  • Strong understanding of Malaysian taxation, SST, and statutory reporting.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong leadership skills.
